In March and April, spring is back and the capital is alive with many events! New exhibitions, activities for children, major popular events … Major events not to be missed!
To begin the month of the good foot, the amateurs of running are found as of March 10th. This is the starting point of Harmonie Mutuelle Semi de Paris, which brings together nearly 40,000 runners for a 21.1 km trip to the Bois de Vincennes. On March 14, the most emblematic monument of the capital also enters the race with the Eiffel Tower Vertical. The challenge is to climb the Iron Lady’s 1,665 steps as quickly as possible!
April stays in the rhythm: on the 14th, the 43rd edition of the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris, one of the most famous races in the world, attracted 55,000 participants in 2018. It offers a career of 42,195 km linking the major tourist sites of the capital: the Champs-Elysées, the Concorde, the Eiffel Tower … Mid-April, place to the Color Run (dates to come), a colorful race where participants cross Paris from City Hall at Trocadero.
All the riders will also meet at the Salon du Running, which is held from April 11th to 13th at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Attracting nearly 90,000 visitors, this is the largest event dedicated to a sports discipline in France!
Saut Hermes: the prestigious show jumping competition
Horse fan: Rendez-vous from March 22nd to 24th for the 10th edition of Saut Hermès, the prestigious show jumping competition that brings together the best horses from around the world in the prestigious setting of the Grand Palais.
In March, Les Dimanche au Gallop settled for nearly a month at the racecourses of Auteuil and Saint-Cloud (dates to come).
Football, martial arts, motorsport
Notice to Bruce Lee lovers! The 34th Martial Arts Festival opens on March 23 at the AccorHotels Arena, where 10,000 spectators are expected!
On April 29th, old mechanical enthusiasts go under the Nave of the Grand Palais to admire, before the start, the vehicles that were selected to take part in the 28th edition of the Tour Auto Optic 2000.
